ARDEN CITY, Rich County — Nearly 7,560 households in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming are still without power late Saturday night, Rocky Mountain Power officials reported.

Power crews were able to reroute power to a couple thousand customers in Cokeville, Wyoming, along with places in Chapman, Idaho, and Randolph and Woodruff in Utah.

Almost 9,000 households in northern Utah, southern Idaho and western Wyoming were initially without power about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, said Tiffany Erickson, spokeswoman for Rocky Mountain Power.

Nearly 4,745 customers in Bear Lake County, Idaho, had no power at 5:30 p.m., along with another 3,960 in Rich County, Utah, and 408 households in Cokeville, Wyoming.

The temperature was below freezing in all three states at the time of the outage.

The initial outage affected households in Utah at Garden City, Randolph and Woodruff, and in Idaho at Montpelier, St. Charles and Indian Creek.

Erickson said officials are still investigating the cause of the outage, though they believe it may be a problem with a transmission line.

As the investigation was still ongoing, officials didn't know what time all power would be restored.
